I am supposed to leave friday morning for a five day trip to Las Vegas. As I was running out my slides outs, I noticed that the main living room slide out went out about half way and stopped. I had noticed when I took my fiver out of starage that there was what looked like oil at the bottom of one of the landing legs. They are electric. I opened up a bay door and saw that the whole bottom of the pan is covered in hydrolic fluid and fluid was dripping from the reservoir. My slide outs are hydrolic. I need some advise on how I can fix this and how full the reservoir should be. The spin on cap on top of the reservoir spins but does not tighten. I dont think any of the hydrolic lines are bad and they are not wet. My fiver just went out of manufacturers one year warranty in July but I do have an extended warranty. Any advise would be appreciated.

On my Everest, hyd. oil should be about one inch from top with all slides retracted. Try pressing down on the cap while turning it. Check all hose fittings, make sure they are tight. I doubt the resivoir itself is leaking, but anything is possible.

Took it in to the dealer and the had one of theie service techs look at the problem while I was parked out on the street. Turns out that the screw on cap to fill thereservoir has an O-ring that was missing. This is were the leak was coming from. Added two quarts of ATF and everything was good to go.
