My Rig

The proper way to set up camp on a big weekend. This was the start of T-Giving
weekend and there were probably 30 more rigs that showed up.

Yee-haw.........

Out west, we have two favorites. The first is a County campground just outside the small city of Lake Chelan. It's called Beebe Bridge County Park. In Woodall's, look under "Chelan Falls". Where these guys get the "nearest town" names from defies logic.

The CG is immaculately maintained - they mow the grass sometimes twice a day. The sites are well separated - last time we were there, our nearest neighboring site was about 90 yards away. We were there a couple of days after Labor Day and were surprised to find they'd gone on their "off-season" arrangements. We got a pull-through with full hook-ups right on the bank of the reiver for $12 a night.

Our second most favorite is close to Richland in Eastern WA. It's a State Park, but run on the state's behalf by the Army Corps of Engineers. It's called Charbonneau State Park. It's on the side of one of the lakes created by the Columbia Riever hydro-electric dam system.

Like Beebe Bridge, the sites are well spread out, not in a herringbone parking lot layout, and equally well looked after. I must admit that it's several years since our last visit, which we made when we owned our 26' Class C. We hope to visit again this fall in our current rig.

This is Lost Lake Campground in Gunnison National Forest in Colorado. At the time I owned a truck camper and I backed the camper into the site. This picture was taken from my campsite standing behind my camper.
