I have owned both and know from experience.
At one of our rallies, one member put his MH in a twist when leveling it and popped a windshield. This happened because the "platform" ie: wheelbase length, allowed the frame to twist.
OK Ray, I guess I need to agree with you. Apparently I wasn't thinking about frame twist. But, that brings up a question........I've read on IRV2 that some MH builders recommend putting slides out, then leveling......not leveling first. Why would some MH's not need to be level first?????

IMO, This would be on concrete, blacktop, or other flat-plane surface; not on uneven ground. It also would be using on-board self-leveling jacks, little chance of frame-twist, vs using wood planks and blocking, which was the only option back when I owned an Allegro MH(built on a 2 1/2T Dodge chassis).

When we got our 5er the dealer said you could put the slides out when hooked to the TV because you then have a 3 point stance and less chance for the 5er to be twisted while not level.
