Did they take off old roof

Did they take the old roof off or coat over it?

No and I asked them why. They said as long as there's no leaking and no damage to the sheeting the rubber roof that's on is a great sub product for coating over. And I agree, it seems to me that with the rubber roof beneath, will make a smoother finish and like roofing paper on your roof it separates the subroof and the finish product....Plus removal would have added cost....
