Most luxury DP Motorhomes still only have diesel generators in the 7,500 - 10,000 watt range...and they mostly have power to spare.
Ours does in fact have an Onan 12Kw gen set. Our dryer is a 240 volt unit so we need to either be on a true 50 amp shore power or run the gen to use it.
The rig is a power hog, so any long term boondocking is out even though we have a little (400 watts) solar. The only propane is a 5.5 gal tank for the cooktop. I did convert some 60 interior halogen lights to LED's, not so much for lower consumption but for less heat. Turning on both AquaHot elements to heat up will draw 4,000 watts alone.
