I am thinking about upping my LPG Tanks from 30# to 40#.

Tractor Supply has 40# tanks for 80 bucks manufactured by Manchester Tanks & Equipment. Camping World has 40# tanks for 140 bucks + another 20 in shipping. I can't find the manufacturer name on my current cylinders.

Are the tanks CW sell that superior that they cost that they cost almost twice as much?

Worthington Industries is another major supplier of cylinders.

Camping World LPG tanks are a tad high, but I just went someplace else and they were higher for the same tank. The man told me he buys them from CW and then resells them. Huh... So if CW is where he gets them, then they must not be too bad or the man would get them somewhere else. So he then matched the price. I bought them from him since he spent time training me about LPG gas systems and some other things.

If you go to a large LPG distributor, they always have tanks to sell: New and Used

Camping World is HIGH. All of the tanks are built and tested to UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards. I buy as little as possible from CW.

Ken is right, all LPG cylinders must meet the same standards. Buy at the lowest price.

The frame mounted tanks are ASME certified, and the portable tanks are UL listed.

Stamped some where on the tank handle ring will be the UL data. A frame mounted tank will have an ASME data plate attached with the "stamp".

...Under 100# cylinders must also be DOT approved, which is also the reason for 12 year re-certification.
