2018 Jayco North Point 377RLBH.

Fretz RV in Souderton, Pa.

Better pricing than the lowest price I could find anywhere advertised, too.

No delivery fees, no other add on fees except a $100 doc fee.

Unit has been problem-free, so I can’t comment on after sale service, but they have stellar reviews.

Thanks for the question

We have decided on an Arctic Fox 27-5L! Finally. I am excited but we have never bought a fifth wheel or Rv before. I copied the PDI list (after I figured out what PDI was!). Should we get our own person to inspect? I See that it would be very good to go through with the inspector and understand all the parts of the rig...especially since we have never had one.

Thanks again!

If there's a reputable one in your area, I'd say its a very good idea with this being your first RV purchase. I'd definitely try and find one that would let you go through it with them.

manwithnorv,
No matter what you decide to buy/order, be sure you understand exactly what you are signing. If anything NOT on the sales order is agreed upon, be sure it is written in and signed off on, do not expect a verbal agreement to hold up. It will be easy to get caught up in the sales pitch, so every so often take a deep breath, sit back and relax. Be sure both you and your wife are on the same page and agree to everything.
Deposits--if you order a specific trailer, and especially if any modifications are made at the factory, you will probably need a good percentage deposit, and the terms of what happens to that deposit if delays in mfg/delivery/defects come to pass needs to be addressed.

When we purchased our 2 Y/O RV, I went through it thoroghly before making a verbal contingent offer.

The offer was based on the dealer delivering the RV to an inspection shop of my choosing (I paid inspection cost)and if there were no major system problems (frame, suspension, water leaks, damage, HVAC) then I'd pay his asking price.

He agreed and I had him deliver it to his competitor around the block. When I got the written report back on the issues, I made a second offer and closed the deal. Didnt try to nickle and dime the dealer on the little stuff that I was going to fix myself.

I would add, be prepared to walk away.

If something about the unit doesnt feel right or is obviously wrong, it might be better to walk away from that particular unit rather than trusting them to fix it.

There are so many RV's on the market today, finding another should be a snap. I guess the big thing is don't get emotionally attached to a particular rv or a particular deal. It's hard to stay objective.
