Just wondering what equipment is typically supplied with a new 5th wheel rv. Specifically are water hoses and sewer hose kits provided?

We did not get water hoses with any of our units. They did come with sewer hoses. Have not bought a 5er recently so not sure what the practice is.

Likely up to the dealer. With costs being so competitive it is likely not one of the "features" that come with most. Will be in the accessory dept of the dealer.

Best to ask the dealer exactly what is standard and what is optioned. All standard features must be on bill.

La Mesa RV gave us a starter kit with sewer hose and connecting end to connect, water pressure fitting, water hose, small package holding tank drops, few rolls of TP, and center bubble leveling square.
I did buy a better water fitting. Used everything else.

We've gotten starter kits when we bought new rigs. This last time we got nothing, but it was a used rig and our 7th MH and 10th RV so we had it all anyway.

On our unit nothing was free even though the dealer said it was free. We did receive a very cheap 10' sewer hose that promptly went into the garbage. The house battery was provided and the propane tanks were full, but this is part of the overall unit price for the trailer. The trailer even had a 10" Teflon king pin lube plate installed.

"But is this stuff really free?" Ultimately, not it isn't. The buyer is the one who pay for everything, from the big stuff (coach) to the not-so-big stuff (dealer's property tax) to the small stuff (starter kit). After all expenses are paid, I suspect that the dealership actually only makes a few hundred dollars on each coach sold.

That starter kit probably only costs $10-20 or so, so it isn't a big deal one way or the other to the dealer. If you don't need/want it you can always tell the dealer to keep it and take the cost of it off of the price of the coach.

Some dealers offer their customers a discount on things purchased from their store, so if all you need is a new water hose, you might be better off deleting the starter kit and using the discount to buy the hose you need.

Don't concern yourself on what starter kit the dealers gives you, most likely will be a cheep stuff anyway, we just went to walmart and purchased what we needed and cost less than at the dealer.

Assume they are not, and be surprised if they are. Then start the life-long improvement program of adding things that are 'yours' to 'your' fiver. You will never come to the point where you don't need anything else, and never shop at Camping World without checking prices on the internet.
Have fun, enjoy camping, never cheap out on what you really need.

Well, actually after over 50 yrs of RV'ing I am now getting rid of stuff I don't need! Don't need water hose, it's built in on an electric reel, don't need a slinky, have a SaniCon, don't need heaters, have 3 heat pumps, AquaHot and heated floors. I could go on but yes, it is possible not to need more "stuff"!

Hoses and other accessories are typically not supplied with a new RV, but some dealers will give new owners a "starter kit" that may contain such items. Some dealers, like the one where we bought our 5th wheel last year, may give a gift certificate that can be used in their parts store instead of a starter kit. Other dealers may provide nothing.
