microwave went up in our Terry Dakota 5th wheel

Can any you replace your microwave with any store bought microwave or does it have to be a certain kind?

It's nothing special, just one that fits in the space allotted. Be sure you don't block any vents that might allow the micro to overheat. Best to take the old one out, measure and note vent location, then go shopping with a tape measure.

I agree with BFlinn181. I take the one out of the house with me when I go out in the trailer.

Just make it fit. Usually cheaper than a "made of gold" Dometic.

How long have you owned your Terry Dakota? Agree, I was going to suggest to take your own. I've had my microwave for 8 years at the house. Insure of your measurements.

You may want to consider a combination oven that's microwave-convection & grills.
Contoure Black Convection Microwave & Grill - Microwaves - RV Appliances
Save on propane (oven) use when plugged into shore power.

Make sure your power requirements of the new microwave does not exceed your power delivery capacity.

If you really are sad and think nobody cares, just try missing a few payments ! '11 Monaco Diplomat 43DFT RR10R pushed by a Demco Excali-Bar II hitch which is pushed by a '14 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport.

Mine had sheet metal heat ducting to get the heat toward the front vents. I made new sheet metal ducting for the new one, especially as the new one is a convection...
