Question Mobile Suites Carpet

Slide out carpet question......

On our 2006 Mobile Suites 38RL3 we'd like to replace the carpeting in the door side slideout. But it has hemmed edges that protrude into the main trailer.

The question is....... it there a company that has the replacements for these?
All set to go in without modification. The most important part would be the hemmed edge going into the living room area.

Buy from a local carpet shop, cut to size. They may even send someone to measure. Ask them where to get it bound. That's the term for finished edges. Have a seat before getting the price for binding.

We replaced the carpet in our slide outs every 2 years. The best option is to buy a carpet remnant from a store like Home Depot or Lowe's that is already bounded on the edges. A 6' X 12' cut down the middle will do both of our slides for about $120 max. I staple down along the rear and side edge if using a long nap or will use double sided tape when installing a short nap carpet.
Note - If buying carpet from a carpet store, ask about the binding charge before agreeing to the carpet. I have been quoted 50 cents/foot to $3.50/ft for binding.

Just replaced the main ans slide carpeting, used old carpeting for a pattern. I found edge binding on the web. The binding has adhesive and easy to attach. My supplier was Rug Rats Company. You select color and buy by the foot.
The new carpeting install is easy, the hard part is removing the old carpet that has a million staples. I hate the gap between the main floor and the slide, it makes a depression in the carpet. I slip a thin strip of sheet metal under the slide edge to keep the carpet flat.
