Montana 3400RL Converter
I can't seem to find my converter in my unit. I have not checked behind fuse panel though. Thought it would be easier to get to.
I have been having problems with lights blinking, starting out slow then getting faster.
If I turn lights off then problem goes away temporarily.
Started happening more often last night. I checked battery this morning and it was boiling over. I filled and took off positive till I got home this evening.
I checked voltage and Bat was 13.6, then checked hot leads from converter and it read around 17.6. I think I have a converter problem.
Any help would be appreciated
Don

I have a Montana 3400RL and the converter is behind the fuse box in the bathroom. Its not the hard to get to and you can replace it yourself. I had the same problem and bought a new converter and installed it myself and everything has been working great since then.

We have an '08 Challenger and are having the same problem. I've ordered a new converter, a 4 stage, from Amazon.com for about $180). Ours is behind the panel under the kitchen sink.

I had a 3400 and mine was in the same place. If you get a converter, get a good one that will not cook your batteries.

converter
The converter I bought is from Progressive Dynamics, Inc. it is the Intelli-Power 9200 Series Model PD9260C. The thing I like about it is it constantly monitors the battery voltage and automatically selects one of four operating modes. So it maintains my battery instead of over charging it.
