Narrowing down models... Solo/fulltime

I have been looking really hard at 5ers and Tow vehicles for the the past couple months...

Have basically narrowed it down to a few different models with varying manufacturers..

Right now I am looking at a few very seriously...

1. Excel Winslow 31 RLE (2011)

2. Excel Limited 33 TKE (2009)

3. Heartland Bighorn 3010 RE (2010-13')

4. Thor Redwood 31 SL (2011-13')

For tow vehicle I am leaning towards a 2011 GMC 3500 DRW "supercab" Dmax w/ Allison

Any thoughts, comments, or concerns would be appreciated...

The Excel is the better of the units for full time use.

2003 Teton Grand Freedom. 2006 Freightliner Century 120 with Detroit 14L and Ultrashift.. Full time going from job to job. Building and maintaining plants across the USA. Sold 2006 Mobile Suites 32TK3

To me, the Bighorn should not be in the same category as all those.
Second, I don't like Thor in general, so Peterson Industries it should be.

I agree with the truck. I own a Ford but in 2011 Chevy really worked on the frame and is as good as Ford or Ram.

Excel is built much better than the other units and is more a full time unit and will hold up better in a long run. It is a well insulated unit.

I rate them.

Appreciate the feedback!

I have heard nothing but good about Excel and Peterson...

these are the two I am currently looking at...

I have read about a possible "leaking slide issue" in some pre 2010 Excels... Anyone have the inside scoop on that?

ALL RVs can leak if not maintained well. I replaced two slide out floors on an 06 Excel, but the customer never sealed them up, only duct taped them.
