Need input on loft model/ heartland please!

Hi,
We have 3 boys ages 3, 5 and 8. We park seasonally and don't move our camper.

We fell in love with the loft model 5th wheel and we think the heartland gateway #3712 may be best for us. We like the 3 sofa's in the living space and the counter space in kitchen as we cook a lot. I have not seen another loft 5th wheel with so much seating. Why we are not considering a bunk house model, is to have more seating in main area. We just found a 2018 at a good price (49k) but I am reading bad reviews about heartland

Anyone have input on the gateway?

Can anyone recommend a better loft option?

Once you eleminate the extra 3d sofa, models start to look similar to me... bigger kitchen, counter space, large fridge is desired, washer dryer conection is a must.

Thanks for reading this and I hope you have some advice!

Hi Karen,
Welcome to the forum. I don't have a Heartland myself but if I was looking it is one of the brands I would look at. Since I'm not familiar with the model is it a Landmark, Bighorn etc? I have heard good about Landmark and some bad about Bighorn.

Probably the best place to start is the Heartland Forum. The owners would be the best source. Just remember that if someone is not happy with something they are 8 times (I think that is the number) more likely to write something than someone that is happy with something.

Good Luck.

Brad

We have a Heartland Bighorn. No where the same amount of problems as with an Outback, Titanium, and Georgetown we've had. Really happy with our Bighorn.

I have seen some pretty Bighorns. There is problems in all campers, most have the same stuff inside. A good dealer is the key, unfortunately that's about as rare as chicken teeth
