Need replacement keys help

Lost the keys to our Trilogy 3850D fiver today...we have a spare door key so no emergency...but no spares for storage, shore power, hydrolics or battery compartment - luckily not currently locked...any idea how to buy replacements for the missing ones? Many thanks in advance!

If you take the camper to any large dealer, they probably have keys to match. There are a limited number of key patterns used in RVs, many keys are interchangeable.

CH751 should be key for compartments
Have you checked compartment door(s) ------my 5vr had couple of spare keys taped to inside of them

Entry door key .....just have another key made from your spare one (or several)

Go to a big box like Lowes or Home Depot. Look thru their cabinet lock selection for the same key number. Buy one then have some copies made. The same key is on most Tracker boat compartments so an Academy should have one too. If your in a park, just borrow one from a good neighbor and go make a copy. Make him a couple too for being helpful.

BTW, thru all my days, I've only seen two different compartment keys. I have one of each and I have never found a compartment I couldn't open yet.

If you go to the RV dealer and they are able to help you find your key #'s then you can go to eBay and buy replacements in multiples for a fraction of the cost of the dealer. Another option is ask a few trusted RV friends to try their keys to help identify the key #'s. My experience with copying keys for RV's at the hardware store is that they work about half the time.

Interesting thread! Last July I toured the country with my sister - I always keep 2 sets, one stays in the truck, the other in my pocket or in the trailer on the hook. One day *poof* one set disappeared...we scoured the place and found nada. We decided to wait to replace them to give time for the gremlin to cough them up. We then stopped at a mom and pop locksmith and had our entire set duplicated.

A couple days later my sister found the keys in one of her purse pockets that she never uses...must have dropped in that pocket rather than the one she uses...now I have two spares!

I used these guys to rekey everything to the main door keys. Installing the entire cylinder was cheaper than having the dealer actually do a re-key.

One RV = One Key....
