My solution.... (you aren't going to like it ...but it will work the best! ...)

"Honey, I decided you deserve Corian!...consider it a belated Christmas present"

Merry Christmas..and no need for the thanks!

Unfortunately, only acetone will dissolve SuperGlue & it will mar the surface of laminate counters. I've had it happen to me. If you take your time, are VERY careful with the use of a razor blade & are EXTREMELY patient, you will be able to get it off with minimal damage.

Best of luck to you.

There is a OTC super glue remover. You must decide if it will harm the counter. What kind of flowers do you prefer?

Tom Hope your Christmas was Merry, and your new year to be enjoyable... best advise I can give to you on the super glue thing is to "GENTLY BUFF" with a 200 grit paper till the surface matches the consistency of the Top... The Super Glue will bond with the surface in such a way that it will not allow you to remove it..... if its only a small spot, then sand if its a Major oh-sh.. find one of those really nice Tile pot holders.... with a pretty design that you know you wife would like...... then use a bit more of that glue to make it a permanent part of the counter... :-D

I think I'd gently try the razor blade on the counter.

If that doesn't work try gently applying jewelry on the wife...
