"new" 5er!

Picking up a 1985 jayco 27' 5th wheel. Traded my 81 ford nuwa MH. my tow vehicle is a 2000 F250 5.4 crew cab. Im installing my hitch tomorrow and hopefully Tuesday it will be home!!!!!

Sounds like a good match, congratulations! Check the date of manufacture for the tires, if it is over 3 years, or if sidewalls have cracks, consider new tires. A blowout at highway speed can cause thousands of damage to the 5er.

Congrats. Another thing to check is the transmission cooler on your truck. You need to add an auxiliary cooler in front of the radiator to help the tranny on that 5.4L. Heat is a real killer for transmissions. Towing that much trailer with a 5.4L will really give it a work out.
