Does anyone have a detailed checklist of items to be owner inspected prior to picking up a new travel trailer/fifth wheel?

We prefer to do a shakedown in a local RV park for a few days before taking the RV out of the dealer's area.

Since our RV stays in the mountains 300 miles from home, transportation to and from the dealership for warranty work would be an issue.

Everything. Open all cabinets and panels, run all water full on all tanks, run all LP appliances.

I know when we bought our first RV we totally relied on the dealer. We found some issues after including damage to the fins on the AC unit.....which was replaced. The other pet peeve I have regarding the exterior is that manufactures of AC units for instance didn't in our case use stainless steel or galvanized screws. Same goes for under the unit....cheaped out....and try to get a screw or bolt off after a few years when it has rusted.

Thanks guys. I ran up on a list of lists on another RV forum, and it had exactly what I was looking for--8 pages long.

They had all kinds of lists available for downloading.
