Smile New guy

I am new to RVing and this forum. I purchased a New 2013 Keystone Laredo 280SBH in October for use this summer. It took me months to decide which unit to buy. I ended up with this unit because I thought it presented the best value for the money. I saw several other units that I liked better but felt I was not getting a fair price. I proposed the following question to RV-Dreams.com and they suggested I posted it here. They thought it was good idea but not sure if people would be willing to contribute. So here is the question.

Do you think it would be helpful to post and ask people supply to a blog or webpage to find out what people paid for their new or used RV's. The final post would look like something. We would not name the dealership just the state or people could leave it blank.

New 2013 Keystone Laredo 280SBH MA $28,600 Date of purchase Oct 1, 2013

I have other thoughts regarding by experience shopping for my RV, which I will share later.

Any thoughts or input would be appreciated, Thanks

You already made your purchase based on value. I have done the same. I'm sure there is a bunch out there that have done the same. Whether one makes a purchase in the $15,000.00 dollar range or $150,000.00 or 1.5 million dollar range they all are feeling that they're getting their best value for their money.

Might be useful for folks that are just "window shopping" before they get serious. I wouldn't mind sharing that information.

The difference between many of the rigs are options. I have seen some of the same unit vary 15 to 20k. Typically heavier duty axles tires, wheels and brakes is 5k. Dual pane windows 2k.

Not sure how helpfull the cost would be.

Now I would be more interested in percent of discount. But I already know it is 25 to 35% ish.
