New member, Bonair 5th wheel owner

Hi,

Been running with a BA2310-W Bonair 5th wheel camper for a while now, lurked for a few years and decided to sign up to the forums this year.

Lots of good info here, and I appreciate the wealth of knowledge offered on these forums. Our camper is a short 5th wheel with no slides. Bought it cheap when our last son was 1 week old (June 2013). Camped with him at 2 wks old. It's been a true family experience since then, we've been summer campers since, (no camper or camping previously), and we've fell in love with the experience that it offers with the kids.

Since we got it, I've moved up from a 2009 GMC Sierra 4.8L 4spd that I put air bags and a trans cooler, to a more able 2014 GMC Sierra 5.3L 6spd, and now waiting on my new trade, a 2016 RAM HEMI 5.7L 8spd with 3.92 tow gears.

Glad I never went TT, 5th wheel has been so stable and easy to tow with no need for fancy stabilizer bars.

We've camped in campsites, dry camped with genny, and done the dry camp/walmart thing, it's not a bad way to spend time with your kids away from home. I really like it.

Here's our rig, as of last year...

Doesn't take a $400k motorhome to make the kids happy--what great times you will have to talk about with the grandkids someday.
We started with 76 F150/19'Taurus and went bigger as the boys got older. But, then girls happened, and we didn't have the boys any longer wanting to go with us.
Life with an RV just can't be beat for good family times.
Joe
