Newbies needing 1975 Arabian 5th wheel info!

Greetings to all for SW Colorado! What a great website! My wife and I are the lucky recipients of a 1975 22' Newmar Arabian 5th wheel! Long story short,,, it was given to us!! (Not sure yet if that's a good or bad thing lol). Anyway, the old girl needs quite a bit of work however, no literature of any kind came with the trailer. Spent quite a bit of time online trying to find an owner's manual or service manual but at this time, our efforts have come up short? In fact, we wound up writing the Delmar company and they suggested this site!If by chance there is anyone out there who could lead us in the right direction, we shall forever be in your debt. It really would be nice to have some schematics especially since she has been sitting for a number of years and there are some electrical issues (among other things). Thank you all for your time, patience and help. Look forward to seeing you on the road.

Yes - welcome to the site. Lots of good stuff here.
I wish you luck in your search for a manual. We had a wonderful manual with our 1999 5'er but lately the companies usually publish online generic "manuals" that often don't address the details of each individual rig. (For example, our current unit says to access the hot water heater under the kitchen counter for winterizing, but there is zero access to it there). I could not get a manual from the dealer, nor anything better from the company. The thing you may have in your favor is that yours was made years ago when people still did a lot of their own maintaining, rather than let the dealers do it all.

Keep rollin' along!

Thanks to all!

Thanks to all for the welcomes, words of wisdom and encouragement. Yes, we have been in contact with Newmar and they suggested this site because their resources were limited to a brochure! If it weren't for my wife, I would pull out what little hair I have left. She has been doing a bit of research and although she has not found the specific user's manual for our 5'er, she HAS found that back in the 70's the majority of trailer manufacturers followed pretty much the same guidelines (except for access panels and such lol). So, this is going to be a work in progress, a labor of love and,,,, another learning experience. Hopefully, we can pass some of this knowledge on to others as we learn. Still hoping someone has access to the literature. Take care all.
