Hello everyone
We are stumped. Have checked all breakers, they are on and have power to them. replaced themain breaker thinking that may be to problem, but still nothing. all the 12v is working fine. but at 95 degrees really miss the air. any ideas what to check next? all mobil repair guys are 2 weeks back logged. we do not have a gen on board (saw a post about a switch for them) nothing hooked up in front except batteries

You don't have a gen so no transfer switch. Do you have a voltmeter, measure at the post then measure both sides of the main breaker, should be easy to see where it goes out.
You were able to change the breaker so I assume you know enough to do this safely...

If you have 120 VAC at the panel then the problem is not power not working. Did you check any of the outlets? The A/C probably needs both AC from the panel and a 12 VDC signal from the thermostat. Check for DC power to the thermostat and AC at the A/C's.

Ozone3 I assume you are plugged into electrical power at campground or someplace. If you have some electrical experience and can read voltage safely then here are some steps. Can you check AC outlets using a vacuum cleaner, fan or coffee pot go see if it works. if they do then you have AC voltage to the power panel but may just no working on the air conditioner. Do you have a volt meter to read 110 volt AC? Have you checked your thermostat. Sometime the thermostat will timeout or wait up to 5minutes before starting the compressor. If you turn on the air conditioner but nothing happens then set the fan switch to on then if the fan runs you have AC voltage to the air conditioner.

Sorry thatI did not include what our rig is. 2003 dutchmen toy hauler. new to us last year. we have been out, using it, since late May.
2 days go we were in minnisota, temps over 100 had ac on, 2 fans, and tv. early evening everything just shut off. now we have no 110 anywhere. checked our cord,replaced main braker....... moved to just south of hot springs, south dakota. have a surge protector, and it says the pedestal here is ok. Thank you all for the replys

I had an 03 Dutchman that did the same thing, thought it was the main breaker at first, but it turned out the J-box where the power cord hooks up with the main power for the trailer the hot and neutral connections had separated and fried the box and the wires, I had to replace the J-box and cut back the fried wires to reconnect everything.

I would use a volt meter (multimeter) and start from the point where the AC enters the rig and start working it back. Make sure you know what you are doing with live circuits or find some else who is comfortable doing this, don't get zapped. This does not need to be hard, but you've got to trace it junction to junction. If you remove any wire twist nuts I would strongly encourage you wrap a few turns of electrical tape around the wire nut and the wire to keep it from coming lose while bouncing down the road.

No 120vac power whatsoever? No panel lit up on the microwave, etc?

What prompted the replacement of the main breaker? Did you measure voltage coming into the main breaker but no power to any branch breakers? Other results?

If the shore power cord has a plug at the RV end rather than being hard wired, be sure it's well connected.

Since it's been so hot with the AC running overtime, check prongs on 50A plug for burning. When prongs get oxidized, the resistance increases causing overheating, and overheating causes burning. A severely burned prong will not make contact.
