We are getting a new Holiday Rambler Savoy 5th wheel and it doesn't have a bedside table like our last 5th wheel did. Where do you put your reading material, glasses, alarm clocks, etc?

Thanks

Isn't it a little late to be wondering about that now.

I have been looking at new fivers and most don't have a bedside table. I can understand with a king bed but no table with a queen. I guess they are making the slides smaller.
We are not too happy about this and will not buy one with it not there.

Guess you will either have to make a trip to CW and buy something or get DH to make you one.

Unless you are handy enough to make one yourself, you'll probably save money over CW buy looking for a small table in a local store and probably get better quality.

We noticed the same thing looking at the newer floorplans. A lot of 5ers with Queen beds no longer put night tables in. Some still do. It is one thing we will demand when the time comes for a new unit.

We did consider it before we bought the 5th wheel and decided that we could live with it if we had to. We are down sizing from a 34 ft to a 28.5 ft and wanted a slide out bed. All the 5th wheels that we considered did not have bed side tables. I thought that I could get some good ideas from the members of the forum and I appreciate the helpfull comments that I received.

Thanks

My motorhome has little 6" ledges where the nightstands should be. I'm thinking about making a unit which mounts to the wall above it to hold the things I need next to the bed

Mine has a small shelf where a headboard would be on a regular bed. Is there a place to mount a small wall rack for magazines?

I know what you mean I sleep with a C-PAP machine and I am having problems finding them to even in a TT and I also travel with our dogs so I am not a fan of putting in a small portable table to put a $2000.00 machine on it and then have the dogs knock it over in the middle of the night so we are still looking I know there has to be some one out there that still puts a night stand besides the bed without having to go out and buy a custom coach just to get a nightstand

Both of us use CPAPs. I put mine on the floor in the closet next to the bed and run the hose through the door (opened just enough for the hose to pass through but not enough for a cat to pass through). There is enough space between the mattress and the wall on the other side of the bed to put the other CPAP in sideways.

It sounds like you 2 don't have the humidified air ones if you can put it side ways and on the floor they have me on heated humidified air all in one units that have to be at the same height as my head with the hose elevated above(or it tries to drown me) and it have to be level.

In one of our old trailers, there was nothing to put things on near the couch. I bought stick in corner shelves in Walmart or Target. It worked well, they weren't big and you wouldn't put anything heavy on them. But a book or glasses would be fine.
