I have a problem with the slide on our fiver. Northwood is going to fix it but I am tired of taking it back. The will be the third trip to Winchester, Va. The first time they had it for a few weeks for the same slide problem and to fix several other problems. It was back a second time to repair the roof and it is giving trouble also again. Northwood has been very good about fixing these problems and I am sure they will take care of it this time. I sometimes think this one was built before or after a holiday or a Monday.

Probably one of the main reasons that plant is no longer producing trailers?

Yes Don, you are right. They could never get the quality to what they build on the west coast. The first time it was back for the crack in the sidewall from the bedroom slide and to fix several problems that it should have never left the plant with. They even left the hole off the let the spare tire down. I could not remove the gas bottles because the shelf was too high to the top of the compartment and several more things. They are very nice about fixing it but that don't pay the cost and time of having to take it there. It is a five hour ride to Winchester.

We used to talk some when I had a AF over on the AFnash.com forum I think.
5 hours drive is not the problem it is the $100. fuel bill just to get it there!

Don, we just got back from a trip the Texas and back with almost a $1800 fuel bill. Tomorrow we are going to Myrtle Beach and later on next week taking the fiver to Winchester. Dianne was saying that our neighbors think we hit the lottery. We got to go back to get it when they finish with it.

Tom,
What are you driving ? We are pulling our Alpenlite Villa with a 07 Duramax/Alliance and are getting 16 mpg.. with diesel at $4.37.. heading for Texas this fall... hope to see a lower fuel cost..

I have a 2500 06 Duramax and the best mileage I can do is 10 mpg. I will have to take it up there and come home. Then I will go back when finished. All four trips is going to be 1200 miles. I am really hoping I get a new roof in the deal this one been bad since day one. They fixed it last time but it coming up again. This is more of a problem than the slide.
