That was a real nice response to someones question. I think you must be bored and have nothing to do but sit around and be a smart ass.

Thanks Joe. You are right. This is great forum and I do not wish to start any cat fights.
So I will just man up and apologize to wandering1. I should have kept my thoughts to myself.

I have to agree with some of the previous posts, stay with a RAM dealer. They have the quality oil filter, the correct oil, the trained staff to do it correctly, and if there are any problems down the road, your service history is accessible to other RAM dealers across the country.

Not necessary most dealers will run the truck up on a quick lube rack drain the oil and then refill in less than 20 min's. My engine takes 30 min's to drain all of the oil out it. The other problem is the dealer will not grease the prop shaft if it is a 4X4, I know had a heated discussion over this with the dealer.. Have not been back to that dealer since if I need dealer work I will drive 20 miles to a different dealer.
That is why I change my own oil and filters every 7,000 miles and both of my fuel filters every 15,000 miles.

So what? They also forbid Loud Music, Barking Dogs, Walking Thru Campsites, Idling Diesel 30 minutes at 6am, etc. Most don't enforce any rules.

Don't know where you camp but I have not run across this. Rules are for the good of everyone at parks. If you let people service vehicles they would end up with oil in parks. I'll gladly pay someone to change my oil for a clean place.

After a 3000 mile pull last week I replaced my oil and all 3 fuel filters on my site. Took about 1 hr total. I run syn oil and always replace at 3k, but filters get it at 6k, not expensive for filters because I run caterpillar fuel and buy bulk and ac oil filters
