Ok to run furnace going down the road?
Going on a trip down south in about a month leaving from North Dakota and I have a memory foam mattress. They are rock hard when cold, and I mean rock hard, lol! Just wondering if there is any reason to not run the furnace while going down the road. Thanks.

I was reading in out Suburban manual and it said not to run it if the RV is moving. It does not make sense and we have run ours in cold weather for about an hour before we arrived at the destination.

It should be fine. Shouldn't blow out the flame. The only thing to watch is to make sure slide out floors don't cover too many of the floor registers.

We ran ours from MN to FL and back last winter. Only a little soot around the exhaust, otherwise fine. Will do it again.

If the flame gets blown out the propane will shut off, we had three different rigs and furnaces would keep on running for the most part while traveling. We don't do this anymore, but it was important (in the past) to "pre-warm" the rig when leaving this,
or this.

We use our furnace all the time when traveling South, we keep it at 45 deg and 1 hrs before stopping I crank it up to 68 , and since my basement is isolated it keeps the water and holding tank from freezing.

Cliffy, Arizona is for wimps. This builds character.
It looks like a lot when you open the door to start shoveling, but as long as it does not warm up much beyond this,
it stays fluffy and you can grab big shovelfuls (about three hours).
But I wimped out this past winter.
About 2,000 miles directly east from you.
