older Care free deluxe spring assembly

I need help finding an older Carefree deluxe model awning spring assembly (left). The paper work I recieved when I purchased the older motor home says that the warranty was sent in 1984. Yes it's that old but other than the spring assembly it's in great shape. The rod that turns the spring is broke in two. It's not like most assemblies. The whole assembly is only about 6-8 inches long incased in a cylinder. Anyone with ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks from Aenloo

One of the stores on this list of RV parts, surplus and salvage, might have exactly what you need.
