Open Range Fifth Wheels

I,m planning to downsize soon from my class A to a small fifth wheel or possibly a class C. One of the fifth wheels I zeroed in on, is an open range lf297rls. I found 2 used 2013 models for around $22,000. Any info or input on Open Range models would be appreciated.........Bruce

I believe Open Range trailers are made with Azdel, or similar. I know Azdel has trouble holding screws. Vibration going down the road will loosen some screws.

My thought, is heavier trailerd are better than lite trailers.

We owned an Open Range (2011) and have had numerous problems with it. Check under the slides to make sure that water has not seeped in. We needed to replace a floor and we believe it is a design flaw. They changed the design in, I think, 2013 but not sure. We have had multiple water leaks from day one so check to make sure they have caulked around all of the outside lights. Absolutely loved the layout of the ORs but quality of build was a problem for a few years.
