That may be true on the newer ford trucks. But I don't think so on the older ones. I have a 2007 F250 Super Duty Lariat SRW and it has the same rating as the F350 23,500 Lbs GVWR and towing Capacity What is the difference besides duel rear wheels and the price?

Assuming the same physical size battery that optima would be a DOWNGRADE.

Optimas have only about 60% of the capacity of a same size other battery,,, You can easily see why this is when you look at 'em (only 60% there, rest is air) I might add they are also only 60% the weight of same size regular batteries (They comply with the watts per pound ratio for all lead acid batteries) but they take up more space.

They are also the most expensive AGM you can get.. Go with Lifeline if you really need AGM or Maintence free if you can mount them "This side up"

Best bang for the buck is always GC-2 pairs (Golf car batteries) but they are maintence required type.

A number of battery and accessory manufacturers have come up with watering systems that make battery maintenance quick and painless, for example Trojan's Hydrolink system.

The systems were developed for golf cart fleets where controlling labor costs for cart maintenance is critical. I have 4 6v LRE 16-B batteries and it takes about 2 minutes (start to finish) once a month to top up the cells.

Now they're not talking RVs, but there is a very good thread about these batteries on PriusChat (Google it). The thread pertains to replacing the Auxillary battery in the Prius with the Optima and the pro/cons including lots of talk about the battery specs, etc. The Prius will not run if this battery gets low or dies, so they (and we) are really picky about that one. Good luck on your research.
