Outdoors RV Mfg Glacier Peak

We have been looking at the Arctic Fox 5th wheel lineup. We found out about the Glacier Peak 5th wheel units and think that they have the quality build of the Arctic Fox, offer a more upscale unit with more options, and have a lower height profile.
Both manufacturers have the same owner and are built just down the road
From each other in Oregon.
Has anyone have any experience with these units? Do they compare with the Arctic Fox.

Thanks!

We love our Glacier Peak, just came back from 9 days of dry camping. IMHO, ORV units are designed more for luxury vacation type camping as opposed to full time living. Hands down they have a design that is more modern than AF units.

This is what we've learned so far.

Prices are comparable so it depend if you want a stronger trailer of more standard options.

Glacier Peak have more standard options.

Arctic Fox are a stronger build. The frame jumps up to a 12" I beam and 7000lb/8000lb axles at 30' while Glacier Peak have 10" I beam and 6000lb axles up to 34'.

Arctic Fox do a better job of insulating the tanks, have a larger black tank and a full profile roof with a flat bedroom floor but are higher overall.

We looked at the Vilano 5th wheels which are very nice but too shiny for our back road use.

The glacier peak has two separate dump stations, that you have to hook up to dump the tanks. Instead of a built in electrical cord that stores in it's own compartment, the glacier peak has an extension cord that you plug in. You have to store it away. The glacier peak also has a much lower frame in the front, with less clearance for off road. The Arctic fox has a head liner for extra insulation and quiet. The raised steps on the sides of the bed in the glacier peak are a pain. The arctic fox has a Moreride pinbox. The arctic fox has fiberglass caps on both the front and the rear. We have a 2016 Arctic fox 27.5, and my sister has a 2016 glacier peak 26 . They wanted the arctic fox, but it was 6" to tall to fit their garage. When we camp my sister whines about not getting the fox, and we have to hear her. There are quite a few differences between them. You will be happy with either one. Dave-R

We are happy with our Glacier Peak. Very heavy compared to other units of similar size. The weak spots will most always be the common components that all the manufactures use.
