Oxygenics shower head

Our water pressure in our Cedar Creek isn't the greatest though it's not exactly horrible either. We've read a lot about people putting Oxygenics shower heads in their units. I researched online and found an RV shower head from Oxygenics but hubby picked this one up at Bed Bath and Beyond. We haven't installed it yet. I was just wanting to see if anyone here has installed this one and if you all like it. If it's not going to make a big difference then I'm going to take it back before hubby has a chance to install it. Click image for larger version

Installed the one from CW while on a trip due to the original failure. It does feel like a lot of more water but I know it actually did give less and therefore save some water.

I really did like it but found it took longer to rinse soap from my hair. That is why I feel it did not deliver as much water even tho it felt much better.

They work. Will be one of the best mods you can do.
BTW if you have a whole house water filter, therein lies your problem.

When we picked up our CC the RV tech that did the walk thru with us suggested that we not install the filter because of water pressure issues. So we didn't. The filter thingy is still on the rig but there's no filter in it.

We used the unit a few times before we decided to use an inline filter on the fresh water hose. To be honest we can't tell any real difference between using it and not having it on there.

Our water pressure isn't horrible it's just not great. I'm hoping this shower head will improve shower pressure.

Remove the water restrictor from the shower head and it will put out a lot more water.

I'm not sure ours has that. We will check tomorrow. This is the connection between the faucet and hose. I'm guessing the smaller part is a water reduction thingy. Not sure it's possible to bypass it. Don't mind the hard water spots. I can't seem to beat them. Click image for larger version

With the Oxygenic the restrictor is not between the faucet and the hose. It is in the end of the shower head after the hose.

But do you see the black piece in the photo? We have to use that to connect the new hose - never mind. I get it. Remove the restrictor in the Oxygenics before installing. Gotcha.

I'm not sure but I think the black piece is just a reducer to give you more pressure kind of like a sprayer you put on the end of a hose.

I also installed a water shut off valve to save water. The one that came with my Oxygenic would still leak when it was supposed to be shut off. I got tired of running out of hot water.

This is the one I used, I installed it between the Oxygenic shower head and the hose.

That valve in the Oxygenics head is supposed to 'leak'. The reason is so that when you turn the valve back on you aren't supposed to get that shot of either cold or hot water. It keeps water flowing to maintain the set temperature.

It didn't work on mine. I still got the cold shot when I turned the valve back on.

I've got the original Oxygenics head and a huge jumbo canister whole house filter with an adjustable flow regulator on the output side with a guage which I set between 55 and 60 psi - always satisfactory showers.
