Parallel generators

Planning on buying a portable generator or generators for my 5th 2008 montana mountaineer. One air conditioner 13500 btu and microwave and LCD tv. Yamaha and Honda have those 2000 units with an adapter that can run 2 units in parallel. I expect I'll have to turn off the ac to use the microwave in this situation. The lights and tv I expect to be okay with the ac.

My sister in law has the twin Hondas and they run both the AC and microwave, but I don't know the BTU of their AC. I have the 2000 Yamaha and it will run my 13,500 AC ... and only that if I prestart it.

I can run one A/C and the MW for a short time on the parallel EU2000i generators. The surge capacity for up to 30 minutes is rated at 4000 Watts.

Thoughts ......:

Why two? Have just he Honda 2000. Runs everything except the AC. (not all at once) We usually kill HW or switch to gas, if running the mirco. If planning for hot weather, I'll have shore power in a park. Two Hondas are twice the weight; twice the cost and twice as noisy.
If a boondocker, two may make sense.

One EU2000i may not handle the A/C on a consistent basis, but two will with room to spare. If you are not runnig the A/C you can run only one and save fuel.

Boondocking is the idea. I've got a patch of desert we like to go to decompress on the weekends.

I have the Yamaha 2400 and it can be paralleled with another like it. It will run and start my 13500 by itself if I'm not in altitude. They have a 2400 now that does not have the parallel option. Heavier than the Honda.
