We tried multiple different options to stabilize our 5er, due to it bouncing a lot when kids are walking through the camper. We borrowed a friend's tripod (before installing the Goosebox) and it didn't do anything at all to help.

Here's what worked for us (YMMV):

BAL X-Chocks and a good set of wheel chocks - Limits front to back movement
JT Strongarms - These things to us are worth their weight in gold. All up and down and side to side movement have been eliminated.

We had 9 adults sleeping in our camper two weekends ago and we couldn't even feel anyone moving around in the mornings as folks got up and went outside. We were in the nose with no support underneath us.

Total cost for us was less than $400 and the JT's only took about 2 hrs to install. We like them because they don't take up any room inside the rig and the extra effort to lock them down is negligible.

I use 2 load bars like you use in the bed of a pickup. One on each side of pin at an angle to the ground. $50 for 2 and take up next to no storage. 3 kids wrestling around in ours so we used to get alot of movement.....not near as much with the bars there.
