"Portfolio Protection?"
Has anyone ever heard of the full-timers insurance (extended service/extended warranty) provided by Portfolio Protection? Our dealer is offering it to us at a "discounted price" of $2499 for seven years of protection, which he said is his cost. Maybe it is maybe it isn't, but either way does anyone have any experience with this company? For the DRV crowd, do you think it would be worth it?
Thanks in advance!

Could not find the specific company, so can't find any reviews.
Never heard of them!

Figure out who the underwriter is.
Is it inclusionary or exclusionary?
Deductible?
Report back?

Not sure who the underwriter is.
They offer inclusionary and exclusionary. I didn't get a price for the exclusionary coverage.
Deductible is $100
Not sure what a "report back" is... Unless you're requesting that I report back with my findings. In which case, here ya go!

I bought a policy from the same company thru RV Extended Warranty Coverage, RV Warranty Specialists - Wholesale Warranties for RV Repair
last year. They have paid 2 small claims without a problem.

Which policy and how much was it? (if you don't mind my asking, of course)

My policy is on a 7 year old MH for 4 years so comparing them would be meaningless. My policy I bought when new would be a better comparison but still meaningless with 5th vs MH.

Yeah, that won't really be a useful comparison. But you were happy with their service I take it?

The two repairs I had done were paid for without any problem. Both shops had no problem working with the company. I hope I never have to find out how they act on a major repair (engine, trans, etc.), I understand that is where most people encounter trouble. Wholesale Warranties say they will advocate for you if you have claim problems.
