Post July 4th Discounts?

We are hoping to order our new 5th wheel in the next week or two. Does anyone know if manufacturers have discounts or buyer incentives after July 4th? - Thanks

I think what he (Fred1609) was meaning is that sale prices may not be as good as what you may be able to negotiate on your own. Most are willing to go 25 to 30% off without a lot of trouble. Some will even go to 34 or 35%, off retail, depending on the manufacturer. It is rare that there sales price will be that low. Just my dimes worth......

JHuff, You know what.....that was a pretty flippant answer I gave you....I apologize....I do breeze through different large RV dealerships web pages and it seems that RVs are always on sale. When we bought our last rig, the dealership had the listed price, the sale price, the fall sale price, at which point DW stepped in and gave them her price which after some haggling they accepted. Never accept the posted price or even the sale price. If your looking for a new rig, good luck with your search.

The discounts you could possibly find would be on 2014 models since most of the 2015s are out.

That's okay Fred1609, don't worry about it. I have been dealing with three dealers from Indiana to Vermont (we live in New Hampshire) and obviously the prices on Indiana and Ohio were cheaper. So yesterday I was talking to the dealer in Vermont explaining that I wanted to deal with someone close to my home base but I also wanted the best deal possible. He emailed me about a half hour later saying that he had spoke to the manufacturer and secured a rebate for me bringing the price down to below the dealers near the factory. It ended up being about 37% below MSRP and delivered to Vermont. Not sure if it was timing or God's grace but I took the deal and placed the order. Now we wait.
