Power/electrical issue

We are having issues with the power supply to our 2007 Fleetwood Advantage 5th wheel. My husband has tested all the outlets and there is power to all of them and they are working. The TV and Microwave have power as well as the breakers. All fuses are good. However, none of the interior lights will operate when switched on and the landing gear will also not work. He had to hand crank them to load and unload from our vehicle. My husband thinks there might be a problem with the converter, but wants to know if anyone else have any other suggestions for him to try first?

Sounds like you've no DC power. Is your battery connected? If lights & landing gear still won't work, your converter may have failed (converts 115VAC to 12VDC). Also, sometimes they have a push button breaker on them that may have popped.

Interior lights and I would suspect the landing gear are all 12 volts. You have a battery that may also have a disconnect switch used for storage. The switch might be off, the battery may not be charged, or you may have a blown 12 v fuse or circuit breaker. Good luck! These electrical problems can be very tough to track down as there are frequently multiple fuse panels.

We have always kept our unit plugged into out home shore power 24/7 since we have owned it. last year back in August we were having a problem with an alarm below our refer that kept going off . It was a gas leak detector that was registering low voltage. When it drove us totally nuts, because we couldn't figure out why, I finally came onto this forum and found out that we needed to replace our 12v battery and we did. Crazy thing was, all the lights and everything else was working then. A few months after we replaced the battery, and we wanted to move the unit for winter storage in our own yard, the power for the landing gear would not work and we had to hand crank it to get the job done. A few months after that, that stupid alarm started sounding off again about every 15 seconds or so. Our Chihuahua/Maltese dog is terrified of the high pitched sound and wouldn't go outside to do his business, so finally, since we had already replaced the battery, we had to disconnect the alarm unit, because there was no gas leak. All the gas is completely turned off and the refer is not in use.

My husband just checked the converter for the push button breaker and found none , but did find fuses, checked them and they are okay. He is now in the process of taking the converter out and says thank you for your help.

My fifth wheel has a red breaker button on the battery box that is hard to see. It has popped in transport once due to the battery tie down being loose.
Also I have a on/off shore power switch that is round about 6 inches and turns 1 or 2 batteries on or all off. Check battery voltage and 12 volt panel that should be near your 110 breakers and there is a 12volt switch as well.
It is unlikely that you have no 12 volt unless one of these are off or battery is dead.

Thanxz for all that info! We sure do appreciate everyone's help. My husband just checked and we don't have any of those things you mentioned. He disconnected the converter from the battery and now the interior lights work off of the battery, so we're figuring that the converter is bad. He will call our Camping World RV center in Kingston, NY and ask them if they would test it for verification. If so, he will take it there and then, if needed, he will purchase a new one to install it where he took the other one out.
