prewired for satellite

I have just purchased a 2016 cardinal 5th wheel by Forest River. I've contacted the dealer and FR about what I should find on the roof since its prewired for satellite. Ha! RVONE said to bring it by and they would install it. Forest River just ignored my email. I asked what I should find in the roof vent marked satellite. Since I only found 2 cable wires that have no ends. Each cable pulls out about 2 ft.But it definetly comes out of the hole and back into the hole. So I assume they go to the three tvs and outside satellite connection. I see no other wire up there to power the satellite. Thought I'd install this myself.

My 2011 Cardinal had one cable going to the bedroom TV the other cable went to living room TV. I spliced them together so I could watch sat tv in the bedroom, however it's not HDMI and you have to change channels from receiver in the living room. I didn't want the extra cost of two recievers and non HDMI in the bedroom is no big deal.

I would recommend that you buy a Winegard Carryout or Tailgator or some other automatic portable satellite system. We had a roof mounted satellite receiver in our motor home and too often it seemed that when we got parked a tree blocked our access to a satellite signal. In fact it got so that I cranked the generator and went into a site to see if I could get a signal. We now have the Carryout and would not go back.

As far as having a receiver in one room and the TV in another you can get a wireless HD signal sender and they work great.

I also have an email in to winegard, asking what I need up on the roof. Can't say as I've heard from them either.
