Pulled pin on emergency brake cord

The cord stayed in back of truck last nite after unhooking trailer. I didn't know it got stuck under something in the truck bed so it got pulled out. I put it back in to the spot it's suppose to be. Is there anything else I need to do?

Some can be inserted 90* off and look ok but the brakes are still applied. You should feel resistance and then a solid click.

Also, your break away battery is more than likely dead.

If it's dead what do I do. Will that charge then if trailer is plugged in?

You should verify that all trailer brakes are still working. It is possible that continuous operation at full battery voltage overheated the wiring/connections and caused an open or short. Also, the plastic case on the break away switch may have melted making the switch inoperative for future emergencies.

Many trailers do not have a separate battery for the break away circuit, but instead use the regular trailer battery. If the trailer was hooked to shore power overnight, then the battery was maintained by the converter (but the brakes were powered on all night). If it was unplugged, then hooking it up will allow the converter to recharge the battery, but a good battery charger will do the same job quicker.

I pulled mine for brakes while parked for a month or two at a time even for about a year til I figured out they constantly drain power, surprised they never started on fire. They still work great, lucky I guess! Either that or nothing happens when I pull mine cause I can't imagine nothing bad happening if it was actually drawing power for a month or two, lol!

My got pulled on a sharp slow turn. Just jumped out and put it back in. All was good. Never heard of anything else that needs to be done. Just scared the heck out of me (with my head between the truck and 5er when installing the pin) when the truck and trailer moved forward.
