Queen Mattress problems

Has anyone had problems with the queen mattress in their Grand Design 5th wheel? After sleeping on the mattress for 38 days the mattress is badly indented. I've contacted the factory with a complaint. Thanks for any feedback

We found the one in our 29rs to be too soft. Probably the reason yours is indented so soon. We replaced it with one that's the same as home. I think maybe rvs should be delivered without a mattress with a choice of what you want.

After several crappy RV mattresses, we chose to not even unwrap the one that came in our latest unit. The next owners will be getting a brand new mattress still in the plastic wrapping. We went with a top of the line Serta, sleep like lambs.

Make sure you order the correct queen size. Some RVs use what is called a "short" queen (75" long).

We ordered ours without the mattress and provided our own. Think we only received about a $60 credit for the mattress. RV mattresses are typically not a quality product.

Rvs never put in quality mattresses. We changed ours to a sleep number as soon as we brought the trailer home.

We've had 4 trailers over the years not once have we kept the factory mattress for a minute.

We put the RV mattress out by the mailbox and by the next morning the mattress fairy took it.

We just replaced the mattress in our Grand Design 5th wheel with a Sleep Number C2 bed. Highly recommended (by both me and Consumer Reports). My back was killing me after sleeping on the original mattress for a couple weeks.

Our Northwood 5th wheel came with a pretty nice mattress. We've had it for 4 seasons and it's just now needing to be replaced. It needed a 2" Temperpedic topper ($100) which we thought was pretty cheap compared to getting a new mattress right off the start.
Not all RV mattresses are cheap, but most are.

I'd stay away from the Trump line of mattress. They promise they will last but they never do. I hate broken promises.

Why?

We have a Trump Serta queen in our Cedar Creek 34RL; which we like. We have used this mattress for two years now and we have had no issues what's so ever. We are going to be adding a 2" Tempur-pedic topper to the mattress next spring as my wife needs this support for her hip. We have a Tempur-pedic mattress at home now and the Doctor recommended this also for the trailer.

We immediately put a 3" memory foam topper on our new Grand Design Reflection queen size mattress--and a high quality mattress cover.

With a couple of bamboo (memory foam) pillows, we're sleeping heavenly.
