Question about tv backer

We recently bought a used Wildcat 28RKBS. The factory installed tv had been removed by the previous owner. I'm wanting to install a new tv but don't know how thick the backer board is. The bolts that came with the mount are 3 1/2 inches long. This is for the tv that goes into a wall with a linen closet on the other side of it. Can anyone help? I don't want to run the lag bolts through the other side. Thanks.

Cut a wire coat hanger and feed it through the existing holes and then take off a 1/2 inch.

How big is the TV you plan to mount. Unless there is a stud in the wall, all you have to work with is the thin plywood in the wall. Remember that this is not like a home mounting...it will get a lot of shaking going down the road.

It's a 32 inch model. Are there special mounts for rv's? I am new to this. Thanks for answering.

The mounts are what is used in the home....however, home mounts are set into wall studs.

Has the manufacturer placed any studs or backer boards in the wall?
