RBW Lil Rock'r installation instructions

Hello all,

I am ready to install the 5th wheel hitch I bought used from a co-worker.

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find the installation instructions for my RBW Lil Rock'r 15k hitch?

I am a DIY, have tools, torque wrenches, wrench on all my vehicles, and want to do the install myself.

Any information is appreciated (pros and cons).

Thank you in advance,

cpaulsen.

After reading your post, I went to Lippert's website and I couldn't find anything on 5th wheel hitches.

Oh well, thanks for responding anyways,

Have had 2 installed by different shops so I can't help with any advice. Just take your time with the measurements to get it straight.

New discovery

Looking through the owner's manual online, last night, it seems that I am missing the L-brackets and bolts that mount the above bed rails to the truck frame.

I searched online and couldn't find exact parts for sale.

Anyone have a suggestion on websites to check?

Are the brackets universal, where I can purchase any brackets?

Would most RV sales, service, and repair shops have the exact parts for RBW Lil Rock'r?

Thanks,

Which direction are your in box bars.
Across or in line.
The in line bars can be installed using a 5th wheel standard (universal) installation kit. It has all the bolts nuts and angles plates required.

That is they are still available. Used it on my installation 7 years ago.

The bedrails are the ones that go across the bed.

I was out and about today and stopped by several RV places and the only people I was able to speak to sales. They all told me to call in the morning and speak with the repair departments. That's what Im going to do during my lunch break.

Thanks for the response, Travis.

I bought my rails, brackets and bolts from an RV dealer. RBW uses the same parts kit as Reese. That is what I got and everything fit perfect.

I made my own brackets, from 3/8 x 3 plate, under the bed which attached to the frame. Welded nut plates (1/2" hi test nuts) on the underside of these brackets. I can quickly spin the bolts out of the cross brackets to remove the whole hitch. Makes for a clean bed when not towing. Positioned center of pin 1/2 inch forward of center line of axle.
