Redwood

We are looking at a new Redwood 3901WB. Has any body heard of any problems with this make or model?

I've talked to a few who love theirs and some who say they're junk, which is the same with any brand!

I'm too young and working too much to be spending on a quality RV. When I do Redwood will be on my short list of brands to check out. I've read a lot of great things about them over the years and always been very impressed with the quality at RV shows.

They may have changed but when we had a Redwood on our shortlist 5 years ago we were not overly impressed with the build quality. The dealer dropped the Redwood line shortly after.
As I said, this was 5 years ago.

We took Redwood off our list after visiting with a large number of owners at RV parks over a 2 year period. A huge number of minor and major structural issues, plumbing, electrical problems just seemed to high for this level of RV.

I see you are in a Riverstone. This is the other brand we are looking at, any thoughts about it?

Of course everyone will have and are entitled to their own opinions...and of course...MY opinion is obviously the RIGHT ONE!!! (No nasty letters please...I'm KIDDING). I do however feel strongly that if each one of us does our own True Due Diligence, we can seriously narrow down the list of truly Higher Quality Units that fit as closely as possible with our perceived needs.

Just an opinion...nothing more...

My DW really liked the features of the Redwood when we were considering a fifth wheel some years ago.

Check the weight on those units carefully. You're definitely going to need a diesel dully to pull that beast.

All brands have quality issues today. In 2015 we purchased a redwood after looking at everything. We had narrowed it down to redwood,Luxe and Dev.
At the time the quality was the same. The only difference was the other 2 were heavier, they had the moreryde suspension which was new. The Redwood was the best bang for our buck.We have had the normal new trailer issues but being handy has helped. Any big high dollar e.g.. swintec motor etc was handled great for warranty replacement by them. Remember that all rvs have the same part, from the many manufactors installed in them. It is how they are installed that counts. Check out the Redwod forums to hear what owners have to say. Redwood owners group and Redwood rv owners group.

We've been living in ours full time for the last three weeks. Best new RV we've owned in over 30 years of RVing. We have no house or any other place to live....plan on spending the rest of our life in this one!

This discussion got me to looking up Redwood. That got me to picking out a floor plan. Which led me here.
