does anyone out there have any tips on hooking up with the reese revolution. It seems that I have to line up my truck with the revolution box perfectly or the wedge tends to bind - then I have to either pull out and line up better or step on the gas to push it in. Once I'm hooked up, I really like the revolution because I never have to think about turning, even past 90 degrees.

I'll answer my own question. Technically, the universal wedge that came with my Reese Revolution will work with my Pro Series 20K hitch. But, as I stated in my original post I had a problem hooking up. What I've learned is that there is a custom wedge for my particular hitch combination. I ordered it and installed it. It definitely makes hooking up easier. However, I still have to line up pretty well for a smooth hook up. Putting a line on my pin box and another line on my rear window and using my rear view mirror rather than turning back solved the line up problem. I guess this was one of those things I just had to figure out on my own.

I have the sidewinder and love it. But it does take some getting used to for hooking and unhooking. I also have the 20K pro series Reese hitch with custom wedge.

I connect first time about 70% of the time now.

I have never had a problem unhooking. I've learned that the height of hitch and pin box matter. When hooking, it seems better if the bottom of the pin box is about 1/2" lower than the hitch plate. When unhooking, it seems best if I lift the trailer about 1/2" off the hitch plate. Since I have changed to the custom wedge and learned to line up better I have not had a problem. I think the Revolution is great because it's assuring to know that I'll never hit my truck. There was just a bit of a learning curve to hook up. I wonder though why my original post did not get more responses. I'm sure that lots of people out there have had the same problem. If you're reading this and have a Sidewinder or Revolution, please share what you have learned.
