I intend to put a residential fridge in mine. It is on a slide out. Can't see where it would be an issue. They are lighter than the Dometics and don't require as much ventilation. Don't have flame or heating elements. Watch out for power requirements. Do get an energy star one. They are very low power users. About a 1000 watt sine wave inverter is in order if leaving on battery (towing) for long periods of time. second battery also. Some don't use inverters but don't open fridge while towing. Hope this answers question. God bless

I helped a neighbour in a RV park, put a small apartment style fridge in place of an 8 CF rv unit. Slipped right into the opening. The biggest issue was sealing off the unit for outside air/ dust intrusion, without causing the new fridge to overheat. Higher end unit with cooling & venting in and out at the bottom would have been much easier.

Thanks for the responses,

At this point do not need a frig., just had mine rebuild with the Amish unit, but am planning ahead for the time I will do so. My friend in a motor home is having frig. problems and believe he will go with a residential unit.

Again thanks for the input and happy traveling.
