Roof coating. What comes first?

I'm going to tackle resealing/coating my EPDM roof.

I bought 4" Eternabond tape, lap sealant and I'm waiting on Liquid Roof.

I've already scraped off all the silicon they used to "repair" holes in the EPDM. The current lap sealant is cracked but I haven't removed it. I need to wash/scrub it as well.

What comes first though?

Do I remove all the old lap sealant, apply new then Eternabond tape over them and down the side seams, then coat?

Do I need to remove the old lap or can I just put Eternabond over it?

Do I need to remove the A/C?

Eternabond and lap sealant do not work well with each other. If you put lap sealant over the Eternabond you will have a chemical reaction almost all the time. It will not seal properly and leak.

So forego lap sealant all together and just use the Eternabond?

You should put nonsettling lap sealent on the forward edges og the ertna bond. The instructions to do that will be inside the roll.
You may want to put a new ACgasket on and put your paint on first and eterna bond after.

I'm thinking of just putting some Eternabond on the holes in the EPDM to get by for this hunting season then in february replace the entire roof. It seems to cost about the same and that will give me a chance to fix any water damage and where a tree fell on it and put holes in the roof. The previous owner used silicone and it was sealed really good, but not the ideal fix.
