Ryobi 1800 digital inverter generator

did a search on Ryobi...found a few older threads.
thinking of using one of these units for my 5er...seems like a good cost/noise/performance balance?
how many are using this generator? and do you like it? have any issues?

Are you planning to parallel two of them, so you can run your air conditioner?
Fuel capacity is a bit on the low side, you would be running out to refill it/them every couple of hours under load, and they would run out of gas in the middle of the night.

We use one on our 14' TT, have to admit that we have not used the A/C with it, but have used it with electric heater and c/pap along with phones being charged in winter conditions (Fall, hunting with 6"-10" snow on ground). Even before the snow, though, it was kind of hairy when it would run out of gas around 2-4 AM. I don't like to have to shine the flashlight all around looking for critters that can kill/eat me while I gas up. But, on a side note, there is a unit from Amazon that you can purchase to put onto the genny, that will go back to a 5-6 gallon gas tank for a boat. Only downside it is about $100. Would it work? It does for Hondas. Ryobi? I will find out this fall when I get one and try it out. ;-)

For roughly $200 more you can buy the champion 3100 w and power everything, including air conditioning, with longer run times. I think they go for around $825 on Amazon. I bought the 3100 with remote start for around a grand. I'll be testing it out this weekend for some short run times at a state park, generator hours are only till 8pm, but luckily it's pretty cool out.

Many smart phones can measure noise levels..

I would not mind haveing a nice little genny in the 1000 watt range.. Just enough to power th PDI 9180 and keep batteries charged.

In fact I own such a generator.. but it grew legs and walked off.

The generator worked great, I threw it on for a couple hours to cool the camper down before quiet hours. It powered the A/C no problem. I'll see if I can get some db levels through my phone, just need to find a good app.

At 23', the champion 3100 w puts out 58db, according to the specs, which is the same as a Honda 3000eu

I've found some research that I did last year, and am passing it on. Hondas have that extended run capabilities, now so do Ryobi 2200 owners.

IPI Breeze Extended Run Generator System (B.E.R.G.S.) - Lifetime Warranty

I haven't tried this yet. I would like to order this as soon as possible, but not until later this year. It does sound interesting. And it will work with the dual Ryobis.

I hope this helps any who want this unit or the B.E.R.G.S. system.
