San Antonio TX RV Parks
We are looking to find a RV Park near San Antonio, TX for January, February and March of 2019. We are looking for something near some of the local attractions like the Alamo, the River Walk etc .
We forgot to make next years reservations when we arrived in Georgia this January and they are now full for next winter. So we decided to try somewhere else.
If anyone has stayed in the area and have recommendations we would appreciate them.
Thanks in advance
Dennis

My parents have stayed somewhere in Castroville and said they love it. Very nice resort. They go there maybe 6 times a year.

I just searched RV Parks near Castroville and I did find a decent looking resort called Alsatian RV Resort. It looks a bit out of the way but we will call them as their rates looks pretty good.
Thanks for the info.

May be further than you want to be but a decent park in Johnson City. Miller Creek RV. Probably 5 miles north on 281. It will put you fairly close to SA ,Austin,Stonewall, and Fredricksberg. Should be able to do some nice wildflower drives Bluebonnets just beginning to bloom. Be sure to do the Willow City Loop.

We stayed at Braunig Lake RV park this February for a few days. It was decent and clean. Just south of San Antonio. It was about twenty minutes into town to see the Alamo. It was passport america so we got the discount as well. Close to restaurants and Walmart about five minutes away.

The admiralty rv park is a block away from sea world. You can take a city bus to the city from this rv park.

Hidden Valley RV on the SW corner of San Antonio (Von Ormy is the town, I think) is close to downtown but far enough to be away from the noise and traffic. Have stayed there for short and extended times over the years.

Stayed at Hidden Valley for a month a few years ago. Nice little park. Away from the maddening crowd, very friendly owners and staff. Really enjoyed our time there.
But, if it starts to rain, pull up stakes and split. The little creek that runs through the park can become a RIVER within a couple of hours. Been there, done that.
However if you're looking for a spot close to downtown, quite, friendly and no frills, Hidden Valley is the best. [emoji106] [emoji106]

Thanks to all those who replied to our post. I called Traveler's World Rv Resort and Hidden Valley RV Park. Neither could take a reservation this early for an RV this size. They both said to call again in November. I also called San Antonio KOA and they are double the cost of either of the other two and only have January and March open. Although it's risky I guess we have to wait until November to find out where we are going to live. If it doesn't work out then maybe we will try Arizona.

Texas 281 RV park is north of SA, in Bulverde. Older, quiet park with a bunch of nice folks. No pool or kiddie things but real "old school" nice. I stay here quite often when visiting my Son. You will like it......

its a nice park and really priced right for the area, they do have several premium sites that are actually TWO sites. one is a parking pad and the other is for the rig, which leaves a nice green space in between.
last time there , management was very very helpful
we also stay out at lake medina...its only 20 mins to the loop and about 30 to the downtown area and 20 to seaworld

Another Option
Checkout a place called A Country Breeze RV Park in Somerset TX, it's about 20 miles south of San Antonio and very quiet.

Does the RV Park out at Lake Medina have full hook-ups?
