satellite connections

i have 35ft. cardinal 5th wheel with 1 outside satellite connection and 2 inside satellite connections 1 in bedroom and 1 in living room. since you can't use a splitter on satelite signal how is it wired? thank you.

I think you can split it if you use the correct splitter. DirecTv has a splitter for their system.

the splitter for the cable is located behind sound system any idea where they would locate satellite splitter? thanks.

You normally have one cable running from the dish to the satellite receiver input, another cable running from the satellite receiver output to the satellite input terminal on the box of many switches, then two cables running from the satellite outputs on the box of many switches to the respective front and bedroom TVs.

IS that connection clearly labeled SATELLITE: To date I have seen exactly TWO RV'w with connections that were factory installed that were so labeled.

Usually there is ONE external antenna connection (Park Cable) many re-task that cable to Satellite. In cases like this you start with something like this.

Park cable in------ Switch---TVs

The switch also has the antenna in and the power supply for the pre-amp (Booster) in the antenna.

After mod you have

Park cable in---Sat receiver---Switch---TV's

A single receiver then feeds both TV's the same channel all the time, No ability to watch a different show.

What I have

Park cabel in ---- Switch---TV's
Multiple satellit cables in---------- Receivers-----1 of which feeds switch other does not exist at this time but will again later.

Other sources -----Switch

Antenna----Secondary booster (Sensar Pro)----- Digital ATSC TV converters-----DVR's---TV one via switch other via A/V input on tv.

I have a very highly advanced system.. But then I designed and intalled much of it.

To clarify, my RV has 2 cables coming in from the service bay, Satellite and Cable.

my rv also has 2 connections outside 1 labeled satellite 1 labeled cable. inside in living room i have 3 available connections 1 from satellite connection 1 from cable connections and the outside amp switch for winegard rooftop antennae has a connection for living room tv.the amp switch changes between cable and roof antennae there is also a splitter behind sound system to provide cable or roof antennae service to both front and rear tv's. there is labeled from factory a satellite connection in bedroom and living room which i find confusing. thanks
