Scare light
Has anyone ever used a 'scare' light for that purpose?
Curious, as my trailer has none...

No, I have two on my MH, never used them for the purpose of scaring anyone. A large handheld spotlight would be more effective than the factory "scare lights" as well as other equipment onboard (no details given). Truth be told I have never had to consider any of the above while fulltiming. YMMV

Nope, never have had to use them. I just use the one on the door side to take the dogs out after dark.

Use them a lot, but not to 'scare' anyone. They are very helpful in lighting up the surrounding area at night if I have to be out. We have one on each corner, really covers a lot of territory.

Used ours on the 5-r (& now on the coach) when I hear something outside the window. It doesn't scare, actually doesn't do anything at all to the deer, skunks, possums, raccoons or other such critters traipsing through our site at night.

Nope - never used mine for anything other then to see as I clean up.
I was camping in a tent with my truck just outside the tent. I did use the remote start a few times to scare away critters.

Have seen a couple of people that want to leave them on all night. What a PITA for the people parked next door. One I wanted to shoot them out, wife wouldn't let me, they was shinning right into our bedroom window. I had to hang towels over the window.
