You did not say of you replaced the pin in the break-away switch. That switch literally puts full 12V (from your RV batteries) to the brakes full time. If you were able to tow it anywhere without noticing a big drag, then either your RV brakes are shot, the RV batteries have no juice, or the break-away switch and/or wiring is bad.
If it does work, your batteries are drained by now and will need a full charge.
