It is a simple replace. Buy the new skylight outer dome. Remove old chalking and sealant. Clean roof area with appropriate cleaner for roof type. Put butyl tape on new skylight, screw down, and seal with proper sealant for your roof type.
Then remove inner skylight fascia, pull out wet insulation, run fan and heater to dry out area. Replace wet insulation with new. Reattach inner skylight.
Check for YouTube videos on line. It is how I did mine.

Or, if you're not into doing the removal, use Dicor self leveling caulk.....(first response is the proper way)

There is a special sealant used for sky lights, not Dicor self leveling. It is called SB-140. I think it has to do with what the skylight is made of (lemon I believe) and Dicor won't adhere to it. Just google skylight sealant.

I cleaned all the old caulking and used Eternabond tape applied past the lines of the old sealant. The 4" wide stuff works perfect.

Yep... I replaced the old cracked skylight in our previous class A . Not hard... Just clean it well, and I also used Eternabond 4" tape, along with sealant underneath the flange. Worked great.... Monkey

All advice sounds good. These guys have changed these things before. Look at the bright side. It is leaking over the shower. That drains automatically.
This is not hard to fix. Just follow the advice given and you will be fine.
